About: Our mission is to offer help and hope to our neighbors in crisis by meeting their basic needs and providing education that enables them to navigate their way out of poverty. Emergency financial assistance offered. Call for up to date food pantry hours. We understand basic needs must be met before our neighbors can reach their full potential. To help meet these needs, we offer access to fresh food, financial assistance with housing and utilities, and guidance and support to navigate community resources. Additionally, to support the whole family, MEAC partners with our neighborhood public school to provide an Early Literacy program. Our program gives pre-K students early access to successful literacy interventions while boosting and sustaining the literacy gains for primary students. MEAC’s neighbors are able to access these services in the community where they live, work, and/or attend school. These place-based efforts work together to reduce poverty and promote family economic security and child well-being.
